Every year we hold a “spruce up St Conan’s ” day at the start of the season. We all don aprons and rubber gloves and invite our supporters, near and far, to join us for a cleaning and garden tidy spree.
The winter chill and damp can make the interior look a little dull while outside our lovely oak trees have left drifts of leaves all over. Some care and attention is definitely needed! It is astonishing how much can be achieved in one day. Everyone’s efforts feel truly worthwhile.
We will have lists of possible tasks both inside and out and you can choose which you prefer.
We will supply all cleaning materials and some garden tools. However as we don’t have many, if you plan to work in the garden, it is helpful if you can bring your own tools.
Should you have any spare plants in your garden we would love to have them. Please bring them and we will plant them in the next week or two.

The day will not be all work though. We also stop from time to time to chat and catch up. Hot drinks, cake and fruit will be available all day and at lunchtime there will be sandwiches. These are only for “the workers” (not other visitors) and are complementary.
Please do come along either for the whole day or just an hour or two. We will be delighted to see you!
