Saint Conan’s Kirk is situated in the village of LochAwe, on the A85 between Dalmally and Oban, at the North end of Loch Awe.
We are 20-30 minutes away by car from neighbouring Oban, Crianlarich and Inverary, an hour and a half from Fort William, Dunoon and Glasgow and 2 hours from Edinburgh.
There is limited parking at the Kirk as well as some parking spaces on the laybys on the main road. Please take care crossing the road.
The 2 main public transport options are bus with 6 per day in each direction Oban- Glasgow with the bus stopping 100 yards from the Kirk and the Train (8 per day) Oban-Glasgow.
Please check the timetables of buses and trains, as they can be affected by weather.
The Lochawe train station is 1km away with a footpath all the way to the Kirk. There is limited/no taxi service in the area.

Opening Times
The Kirk is normally open throughout the year and entry is free, although a donation is always welcome!
Summer (April to September) 8am – 6pm, Winter (October to March) 9am – 5pm
Exceptions are during special events.
Special Events
Please view the calendar of events for specific dates as during weddings, services and special events the Kirk will normally be closed to visitors for the duration of the event. If you would like to attend church services or music and cultural events, information is usually provided on the webpage for the event.
