St Conan

High up on the South Wall in a niche stands the large carved figure of St Conan himself, gazing out over the Loch.

The statue is carved by Alexander Carrick, stonemason and sculptor. Carrick is also responsible for the effigy of Walter Campbell in St Brides chapel, the war memorial that stands at the entrance to the Kirk, and we suspect, the alabaster face and hands of the Bruce carving.

St Conan’s Kirk requires ongoing maintenance and it is through donation that we are are able to maintain and improve this building and keep it open for the public to enjoy. So if you are able, please use one of the following links to donate by text message.
