St Conan’s has a close affinity with HRH Princess Louise, who was the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria. She was great friends with Helen Douglas Campbell and took a keen interest in the work at St Conan’s. She even created the wonderful stain glass window of St Michael.
To celebrate her work, we have been kindly loaned some exhibition boards from our friends at Inveraray Castle, where Princess Louise lived for a period of time.
These boards tell the facinating story of a somewhat wayward princess who didn’t always conform to the primness of the Victorian era and was considered somewhat of a rabble rouser!
The exhibition shall be in place until the end of November.
