Pumpkins Galore!

November 2, 2025

Last night saw our third Pumpkin festival at St Conan’s and this was even more spectular than last year. With a new lighting scheme we were able to transform the Kirk into a wonderful spooky place to display all the amazing pumpkins.

The pumpkins, donated by our good friends at the Ben Cruachan Inn and supplied by JM Breckenridge are delivered directly to Dalmally and Taynuilt Primary schools and the children have a few days to carve their creations (although, from the quality of some of them, we suspect perhaps some slight assistance from mum or dad in some instances!)

The range of creativity never ceases to amaze us and there were some excellent pumpkins again this year.

Event organiser, Phil, commented that he was also very impressed with how many visitors had made the effort to come in fancy dress. “I think my favourite was the family where the mum had dressed as Mortica, the dad as Gomez and their daughter was Wednesday from the Addams family. They looked amazing!”.

Of course, our coven of witches (aka our volunteers, Rosie, Liz, Helen and Emma) were on hand to dish out cups of hot mud and eyeballs, severed zombies fingers and slices of snail shell. All of which tasted delicious!

Thanks to everyone who attended and we hope to see you next year!

We’d love to know what you thought of the event, so please comment below!
