Today saw another fun filled and joyful singing event at St Conan’s, led by the masterful and funny Stephen Williams with Miriam Harden accompanying on Piano.
Over 60 enthusiastic singers turned up in the beautiful early May Argyll sunshine to give their vocal chords some exercise.
The theme for today as Songs of the Sea and Stephen led us through a medley of nautical tunes, including;
- The Iona Boat Song
- Wellerman
- I am Sailing
- Beyond the Sea
- and of course, The Drunken Sailor
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon and the coffee and home baking supplied by our volunteers and the chance to chat made it even better. We’re looking forward to the next event in July where the theme is going to be Songs from Around the World!
