Cloister Update

OK, so this isn’t the most exciting of news for most people, but we were delighted, as today saw us moving one step closer to improving the accessibility of the Kirk and the conversion of the Engine Tower into toilets for the public.

This was heralded by the arrival of the huge granite slabs that will be used to level the flooring in the cloisters and make them wheelchair accessible. Once the flooring is laid we can move onto the next phase of the work. We just need to find someone strong enough to lay them now!
