Yesterday the Coffee & Cake Club hosted a pilates session, a first for St Conan’s and the Club’s most active activity so far!
Sue Burden, who runs a series of pilates classes in the area, Pilates Near Me, had agreed to trial a seated pilates class in the pews.
Around 12-14 took part. Some were familiar with pilates, others were trying it for the first time. Under Sue’s expert guidance it turned out to be really fun and a great introduction to the many benefits pilates can bring.
Sue commented “I’ve taught in many different places but this is definitely the most interesting ever. There’s something different to see wherever you look!”
Jane, the photographer, took loads of photos. It is possible that the Oban Times may shortly be mentioning us in there Community Wellbeing section. Very appropriate. Watch this space!
As ever the session was followed by a lot of chat and catching up, accompanied by coffee and delicious homemade cakes.
We hope to persuade Sue to teach another seated pilates class later in the year.
